PODCASTS AND THANK YOU

The first thing I would like to say is a big thank you to all the contributors and visitors to this site over the last five years, and those lately who have kindly made donations to Paypal. It may not seem so, but new Zodiac material is becoming harder and harder to create, as every nook and cranny of the case has been covered extensively and explored in ever minute detail. Having now written over 320 articles since September 2012, it is time to try something different.
That means moving into podcasts. Primarily these podcasts will cover every aspect of Lake Herman Road, Blue Rock Springs Park, Lake Berryessa, Presidio Heights, the murder of Cheri Jo Bates and the Modesto abduction of Kathleen Johns. But other topics will be covered as well. Some podcasts will be carefully prepared, while others will be done on the fly, unedited and raw. Sometimes it's easier listening to Zodiac material rather than reading it, and it has the added benefits of you being able to doze off to sleep while I go babbling on. If you have any topics or individual features of each crime you would like covered, let me know in comments.

Hope that you keep ''Zodiac Ciphers'' up and running,Richard,at least in some shape or form [?].

The visual aspect to referencing information and material,cannot be underestimated.

This site is certainly at the top of the tree [!],and provides an essential ''calling point'' for any Zodiac enthusiast.

Hi Richard, my brother and I have been eagerly awaiting for you to enter the podcasting realm ever since you posted your first audio bit on the cigarette butt. I know it must be hard to keep it fresh but you have always done a great job doing just that. Without question you have the finest Zodiac mind on the web. There is still plenty for me to read here but I have put a serious dent in the 320 articles you have written for Zodiac Ciphers as well as your contributions to morph's site. My brother and I will definitely be listening!

I have a serious question,which I hope one of your readers may be able to help me with,Richard [?].

In examining the ''Jolly Roger'' skull and crossbones,on the back of the ''Dragon'' card,I can't make out the curious looking skull.It certainly does not appear to be a conventional looking human skull [?].Has Zodiac possibly ''doctored'' the skull,in some way ?

There appears to be a ''quiet'',with anticipation of this up and coming Zodiac series on the History Channel [?].

After ''Mikes'' Morford and Ferguson's excellent podcast series,serving as a reminder that there are some sensible and responsible sleuths,out there....it looks as if the History Channel are about to serve up the biggest load of twaddle,in the history of Zodiac related investigations.

I do hope not....but judging from the promotion trailer,I fear the very worst.

My guess Rubislaw, is expect the hype surrounding the History Channel documentary, but little of substance. Apart from the 2007 Zodiac documentary which was more about 'memories' of the murders, every other Zodiac documentary is either crammed full of factual inaccuracies and laden with 'pet suspects', who have little going for them. But it's inevitable that if the contributor to the program has a pet suspect, this bias ultimately leaks into the documentary. The hype surrounding this series reminds me of an old John Wayne or Clint Eastwood movie- where they drag a couple of retired investigators into town, and these two experienced detectives are going to succeed where everybody else has failed for the last 50 years- I highly doubt it- even given they likely have access to material the average Joe doesn't. These detectives, although they are likely decent and intelligent investigators, don't have the monopoly in Sherlock Holmes style brain matter, that has us all salivating on the edge of our seats, waiting for the big reveal. I hope the series reveals new information that's revolutionary, but in all honesty I have been around long enough to realize this in all likelihood will not be the case. The statement in the promotion "the Zodiac's still out there, I'm coming for him," is unlikely to rattle a long dead corpse. Even if he were alive, I doubt he's shaking in his boots.

Some scepticism shared then,Richard.But you infer,there may be something of interest,as the series progresses [?].

Just in the trailer,there seemed to be ''resonance'' of that series ''Cheaters'',where a team hold under surveillance an adulterer,whom they refer to as ''the suspect''.An equal sense of ''immediacy'',perhaps [?],with helicopters and fast cars.

I note that ''Cheaters'' is actually categorised,under ''Entertainment''.I wonder if this new Zodiac series,is similarly categorised [?].

I doesn't look like there will be any ''currently serving'' officers of the law,or experts,expressing an opinion,much less making an appearance [?].I wonder if they have been told to stay clear of its production [?].

Not likely to cause the real Zodiac Killer,to find himself ''twitching'' [?].

Hi, great site! Thanks for all your hard work on it! I've always wondered what became of the three young witnesses to the Paul Stine murder. I wonder how it all affected them going forward. Were they/their parents in fear for their safety since Z would now know where they lived? I keep thinking about them.

These Podcast's Rich, when are they going to begin because I do hope that You'll call the podcast's something appropriate like 'Post 2 Post p.m' which I can't see Legal Grounds for Coast 2 Coast a.m to file a suit alleging a breach or use of 3rd party's Intellectual Property thus committing the Criminal Offence of Copyright Theft!

Anyway, Show-Title aside, I thank you & am flattered to have you ask Me to be your first official guest on the Podcast Series. You haven't asked Me any such thing, I know this so worry not mate, it's cause You don't know yet that Your going to ask Me to be your first guest on the podcast, but You will Rich,You will.

I was Arrested yesterday on suspicion of possessing a sense of Humor while in a public place, an offence under the misuse of humor act 1978.
