A police report at the time, highlighted that somebody by the name of 'Lee' was apparently often seen in the company of Darlene Ferrin. Don Cheney, a close associate of Arthur Leigh Allen, stated that Allen had mentioned to him that he was fond of a waitress at that restaurant.
Arthur Leigh Allen often went by the name of 'Lee', actually spelling it in the shortened version.
This is a brief introduction, the reason behind will become evident later at the foot of this article and so we will make the not so smooth transition straight into the 13 Hole Postcard mailed on October 5th 1970 to the San Francisco Chronicle.
The three previous posts showed the use of English gematria, the days of creation and genesis in the structure of numerous Zodiac cards, ciphers and letters, so here we will examine the 13 Hole Postcard and find a possible meaning, within this religious context.
If you want to understand the evolution of this concept and to avoid repetition, please read the following article.
In this article I will apply the same concept to the 13 Hole Postcard as I did with the Pines Card above.
Firstly lets apply the gematric code to the 13 Hole Postcard wording, as its design was structured along similar lines to the Pines Card. The gematric code can be seen on the right and it simply applies numbers to letters, to reveal totals, that may bear significance to the Zodiac Killer.
The Zodiac Killer chose the positioning of the text very carefully and threw in one subtle twist at the very end.
Notice the top figure of 120, this is one third of a circle of 360 degrees. This can be written as 1/3 or numerically 13, as seen above the cross.
The two sections of text either side of the number 13 have been placed there by design, to form a row.
So let us add up this row using the gematric code above: 217+13+130 to equal 360, the degrees of a circle. This is why he placed 13 punch holes into the card. 13 circles of 360 degrees.
To get a numerical value for the circled green area, it must first changed to text form ie; THIRTEEN (41) and CROSS (22).
Then apply the gematric key once more, shown in brackets. The total adds up to 63, the number of symbols in the 340 Cipher.
As stated in the previous post, within the 340 Cipher, 13 Hole Postcard and the Exorcist Letter, the author used F and K in close proximity numerous times. In fact on the 13 Hole Postcard he placed the words FK I'm crackproof. But what did FK mean. Well FK, appears as initials and not a word, so must be taken in this context. In the gematric code above FK is 63 and indeed, up to the date of this article the 63 symbols of the 340 Cipher have undoubtedly remained crackproof.
Finally he signs off this card with ' P.S. There are reports city police pig cops are closeing in on me FK I'm crackproof What is the price tag now.'
When we add this up, the total is 342, but what is apparent, is that in this card and the very similar Pines Card, there are no spelling errors, other than one word, where the Zodiac Killer adds an E and uses closeing, instead of closing. Was this a deliberate action, designed for a specific reason. In other words, had the author of this card changed the spelling to point us in the right direction. Using this premise we will now add up the revised total, and drop the E from the total of 342.
E = 5 in the gematric code, so our new total is 337, shown on the 13 Hole Postcard above.
But what is noticeable, is that this text is upside down, so lets flip the card upside down and reveal the name of our killer, in plain sight : LEE.
The 337 becomes LEE and he uses the subtlety of upside down text to disguise his name within the numbers.
But was the author Arthur Leigh Allen, who often changed the spelling of his name and opted for Lee, with his grasp of wordplay even more complex than we may have anticipated.
In the example above, the author of the card was directing us to his name LEE by a difference in the
ARTHUR LEIGH ALLEN = 1+5+7+6+6+5 2+5+5+7+6 1+2+2+5+1 = 66
ARTHUR LEE ALLEN = 1+5+7+6+6+5 2+5+5 1+2+2+5+1 = 53.
There is one final possibility, that numbers are the enemy here and mathematics once more is the prime suspect.
